Is nothing sacred?

First this:

St. Mel's church in Queens was robbed of $20 to $30,000 on Christmas day during the morning mass! The two robbers have been apprehended, but really, stealing from a church? Get the story here, and the men being apprehended here and here.

Now this:

(via Open Book) His Excellency Oscar Lipscomb, the Archbishop of Mobile, Alabama had his gold crosier (shepherd's staff), pectoral cross, a gold vial to hold sacred oil, and other assorted items stolen from his car on Christmas Eve. Get the story here.
~~~
I mean stealing religious items and money from a church on Christmas Eve and Christmas, I really want to ask these thieves, "Didn't your Mamma teach you better?"
I don't know, maybe they needed the proceeds to feed their family (I'm trying to show Christian compassion her), but if that was the case, why didn't they just ask for help...that's part of a church's mission.
Please join me in praying for the thieves conversion.
Thanks Be to God and Boomer Sooner!
and Feast of St. Egwin
